Cosmetic and General Dentistry

Porcelain Veneers
This minimally invasive dental treatment enables patients to cover staining and unsightly blemishes on the front surface of their teeth. Porcelain Veneers are attached straight to the existing tooth’s surface. Porcelain Veneers have the ability to mimic natural teeth, appearing virtually indistinguishable within the mouth.

Porcelain Crowns
Covering the entire surface of the affected tooth, Porcelain Crowns are a permanent solution to severely damaged or weakened teeth. Porcelain Crowns are created from ceramic materials, providing them with their natural translucent appearance and maximum strength.

Porcelain Inlays & Onlays
Aesthetically more pleasing, safer, stronger and less toxic than traditional fillings, Porcelain Inlays and Onlays offer extensive benefits to patients. Porcelain Inlays and Onlays are designed to fit into the tooth structure and differ only in the area being treated. They are completely Mercury free.

Dental Implants

Kinross Dental and Invisible Orthodontics have over recent years undertaken numerous update courses and training seminars about implant treatment and have gained accreditation and experience in a number of Dental Implant Systems including Nobel Biocare, Ankylos for regular tooth replacement and the Imtec MDI for same day denture stability.

Implants are now used routinely in selected circumstances to replace teeth that are missing due to development, trauma or decay. The implants are comfortable and very aesthetic; they replace the function and appearance of the missing teeth without involving any other teeth alongside the gaps. The treatment entails placing a titanium implant into the bone of the jaw and allowing the bone to heal to the implant itself. The purpose of the implant is to replace a lost tooth root. This process takes about 4 to 6 months and once it is complete impressions are taken of the implant in position and the final crown restoration is custom made for the patients.

Implants can also be used to support bridges for multiple missing teeth and even to support or replace complete dentures. The MDI system is specifically designed to be used in the situation where there is an existing set of dentures (false teeth). They require a less invasive surgical placement and typically the patient can attend for an early morning appointment and can be eating lunch with stabile retained dentures.

Intravenous Sedation

Intravenous sedation is used at Kinross Dental and Invisible Orthodontics on a very regular basis for a wide range of treatments and for many different people. It is used for all wisdom tooth removal to provide a comfortable and relaxed procedure to an otherwise worrying treatment experience.

Many people also opt for sedation to facilitate the treatment of a number of teeth and to get the dentistry done all in one appointment. Of course some people just do not like dental treatment and may be quite nervous about various aspects of treatment and for these people sedation at Kinross Dental is an ideal treatment option.

Sedation is comfortable and provides an alternative for many people to have their dentistry carried out in a way that accommodates their special needs.

Wisdom Teeth

Often there is little space at the rear of the jaws for wisdom teeth to come through and this often leads the wisdom teeth to become wedged in or "impacted".

Some impacted wisdom teeth remain buried and cause no trouble. However, other impacted wisdom teeth my cause severe problems and need to be removed. Possible problems caused by impacted wisdom teeth include infection, pain, crowding, cysts, damage to nearby molars, ulcers or sites of food trapping.

Removal of wisdom teeth is a very common procedure. Removal of troublesome wisdom teeth should generally be done as soon as possible. Many people often think that you have to go into hospital or be seen by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to have wisdom teeth removed but here at Kinross Dental, this has become one of our focuses.

Of course there are still the very few cases that are preferable to be referred to an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, but generally, wisdom teeth surgery can be carried out efficiently, affordably and comfortably using conscious sedation (sleep dentistry) in our surgery.

Solutions To Bad breath

K Force uses probiotics which will help fight the bacteria in the biofilm on our tongue surface, teeth, gums and throat that cause bad breath.

This in conjunction with a K Force breath guard gel as well as dietary changes will assist in the effectiveness of the treatment.
