Self-conscious about the appearance of your smile?
The question most often asked is,"How do I find out if I can have Invisalign?” Once you decide that you want to proceed we need to see you again to take the definitive Invisalign impressions, assemble the relevant clinical photographs and X-rays and prepare the prescription to send to Invisalign. Approximately two weeks later Invisalign will send through the Clinicheck computer program for checking and approval. We always allow the patients the opportunity to view the Clinicheck program for their teeth before approval and once approved the aligners specific for your treatment arrive at our office. Again this is about two weeks later. An appointment for start up is made and there after additional appointments to issue the sequential aligners are scheduled generally at approximately six week intervals.
The next question is of course “How much does it cost?”
Of course there is some variation depending on the difficulty of each individual case but for a guide the cost is usually varies between $4800 and $7500.
An assessment and diagnosis must be made and this includes X-rays and study models and a confirmation of the costs for each individual person.
Another question is “What age groups are suitable?” There is no real age limit on this however with young people we do need all or virtually all of the permanent adult teeth erupted and in position. There is no upper age limit. Align International have just launched in Australia a new initiative called Teen Invisalign designed specifically to accommodate people who are still growing and developing and to facilitate treatment for this very important group of people.
